ARMYs are really setting the bar too high alongside BTS!
Two days ago, it was revealed that BTS and Big Hit Entertainment donated $1 million to the Black Lives Matter movement. Excited about the news, ARMY gathered forces in hopes of matching their idols donation amount.
The fandom has been actively promoting the movement and donating but decided to consolidate their efforts to raise $1 million following in BTS’ footsteps. A twitter account ‘One In an ARMY’ decided to take on the challenge and fans have been donating ever since, their donations will be evenly split to organizations that give both immediate and long-term support to the Black Lives Matter movement and black community.
By June 7, One In an ARMY reported that they have already reached their goal of $1 million in donations. The project was called #MatchTheMillion project.
